School & Community

Donahue Academy, established in 2007, is a co-educational, college-preparatory, classical school operated by the Parish of Ave Maria in the Diocese of Venice, Fl. With a K-12 student body of approximately 213, of which about 60 are in grades 9-12.  Our more than 50,000 sq. foot facility is located near the campus of Ave Maria University in Ave Maria, Florida. We offer a robust sports program including full contact 8 man football, boys and girls basketball, girls volleyball, and boys and girls cross country and track.

  • In our first ten years of operations we have had 130 graduates. Of this small pool,  3 have been National Merit Scholar Finalists (representing the top 1.25% of high school students on the PSAT) and four have been National Merit Commended Scholars (among the top 3%).
  • In total,  5% of our graduates are among the top 3% nationally on the PSAT.
