Parent Association

WE INVITE YOU TO GET INVOLVED!

The goal of the Parent Association of Donahue Academy is to support the mission of the school through an organization of our parents’ time, talent, and treasure.

One primary function of the association is to organize fundraisers which help to pay for things like field trips, study materials, special school events, and playground equipment.  The Parent Association also organizes volunteers to help in various capacities throughout the school year.  Vital to the daily and long-term life of the school, our volunteers not only help to enrich the children’s education but also bring down the operational cost of the school.

Each family (according to their means) is asked to participate in these fundraising and volunteer efforts so that we can continue to ensure a quality Catholic education for God’s children.

Who are the PADC’s Leadership Team?

Paula Pinter

President

Paula and her husband, Tom, have been involved in Ave Maria since they moved to Naples, FL and then more so since they relocated to the town. They moved to Ave Maria in 2014 and they have a child entering his third year at Donahue. This will be Paula’s second year as a member of the PTA.

 

Krista Joyce

Vice President

Krista and her husband Kevin moved their family to Ave Maria in 2010. They are the parents of 10 children, 7 of whom are enrolled at Donahue Academy this year. Krista has been a volunteer with the PTA for the past 6 years. Krista feels Donahue Academy is a great gift to the community as a whole and a great help, as a mother trying to raise her children in a faith-led environment. Being involved with the PTA has been a great joy for Krista, enabling her to meet many other parents and to witness the great job the teachers do with the children at Donahue.

 

Anna Bragdon

Treasurer

Anna Bragdon has lived in the Ave Maria for five years and has three of her four children at Donahue: Wyatt in 5th, Waverly in 4th, and Jude in 1st. She homeschools Jude’s twin brother Asher. Anna has been active on the PTA for three years.

 

Christina Lazowski

Secretary

This is Christina’s first year as a member of the PTA. She and her husband are both graduates of Ave Maria University and have lived in Ave Maria since 2007. They have four children and their eldest daughter is in first grade. Christina is looking forward to creating a closer community between all families’ and friends of Donahue Academy in the coming school year.

 

Jade Cheney

Communications Liaison

Jade and her family have been residents of Ave Maria since 2012. Her daughter is in Kindergarten this year. Jade welcomes all parents, especially new parents, since this is her first year at Donahue Academy as well.

Terri Micillio

Volunteer Coordinator

Terri Micillio and her family moved to Ave Maria in December 2016. Her two daughters attend Donahue Academy: Grace-7th grade and Sophia-3rd grade. Terri enjoys being involved at Donahue Academy through volunteering in the classroom, and for school events and activities. She has been involved in the PTA at her daughter’s previous schools. Terri earned a master’s in Education from the University of Pheonix, and taught elementary school for 8 years, serving as the School Volunteer Coordinator. She looks forward to working with the full PTA team, parents, and Donahue staff to help support our school and our students – to make this the best school it can be!

 

Erin Logue

Teacher Liaison

Erin, a Chicago native, moved to Ave Maria in August 2012 with her husband and two children. She has taught kindergarten at Donahue Academy since 2013. Erin is excited to be part of the PTA for a second year. She can’t wait to work with the new and returning parent volunteers to make Donahue the BEST it can be!
