The evaluation of each applicant is based on academic records, standardized test scores, admission assessments, interviews and recommendation forms.

Begin your online application by clicking here.

Note: Kindergarten applicants must be five years of age by September 1st.  First Grade applicants must be six years of age by September 1st and must meet the reading readiness requirements of our school.  For other grades, students must meet readiness requirements at the grade level for which they seek entry. Send to the school a copy of the student’s most recent school records and standardized test scores.  Students currently attending Florida public schools can expect to have a successful career at Donahue Academy if they are entering our school with an FCAT score of Level 3 or above.  Students scoring below a Level 3 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Once an application has be received, you will be contacted to set-up a school tour, shadow day, and a meeting with the Admissions Coordinator and Headmaster. To be considered for admission to our school, the following items must first be submitted to the Office of Admissions: a copy of the applicant’s most recent report card, standardized test results, if applicable, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and Teacher Recommendation Forms. Recommendation Forms must come directly from the applicant’s school. Download your applicable Recommendation Form(s) below:

Once all of the above items have been received, they will be reviewed by our Office of Admissions and Headmaster to determine admissions.

All new students are required to take an assessment test to determine proper placement in the classroom prior to official enrollment. An appointment may be made through the Office of Admissions.

Upon acceptance, you may click on Tuition and follow the link to set up your FACTS account.

If you need help with tuition, you can immediately begin the process for requesting financial aid by clicking on Financial Aid and Scholarships through the FACTS Grant and Aid link. You will need to have copies of your most recent tax returns available before final determination can be made.  You may also see if you meet the qualifications for the Step-up-for Students program for Florida residents. Once your student is accepted, the following forms will be required to be submitted before the student may attend classes:

The “Yellow” and “Blue” forms are available from any Florida physician’s office.
