The Donahue Academy PTA is comprised of a dedicated group of parents, teachers, and staff working together to ensure positive development for the school community within Christ, while encouraging parental involvement, school support, and community building. Toward this end we help with coordinating “room parents” to assist teachers with projects and events, assisting with coordinating volunteer efforts at the school such as field trips and special school events, and with either arranging or supporting community building activities including the following:

August 19 – Back to School Party at the Waterpark
August 25 – Ice Cream Social during lunch
September – Ultimate Bingo Night
September – Box Tops Classroom Competition

Who is on the PTA?
After growing up in Brooksville Florida, Danielle spent 15 years in Cleveland Ohio. She moved to Ave Maria three years ago with her family. This will be her fourth year involved with the Donahue Academy and her first as President. Danielle is a former child therapist specialized in abuse. Currently she is a stay at home mother to a son in 5th grade at the Donahue as well as a teenage son. Please feel free to reach out to her.
Paula and her husband, Tom, have been involved in Ave Maria since they moved to Naples, FL and then more so since they relocated to the town. They moved to Ave Maria in 2014. They have a child entering kindergarten this year as well as a son in 4th grade. This will be Paula’s third year as a member of the PTA. She was the President last year.
This is her second year as a Donahue parent and as a resident of Ave Maria. Jana have 6 children, 5 of which attend Donahue. She and her family moved to Ave Maria from Washington, DC. Her husband is the head football coach at AMU. She enjoyed meeting all the
families and teachers last year and she looks forward to meeting many of you and your children!
This is her third year as a parent at Donahue Academy and her first with the PTA. Audrey have a son, Nicholas, in Ms. Russo’s second grade class. Audrey and her husband are both native Floridians. Her family moved to Ave Maria in 2014 from neighboring Immokalee. Audrey is excited and looking forward to a great year ahead working with Donahue families, faculty and staff.
Terri Micillo and her family moved to Ave Maria in December 2016. Her two daughters, Grace-8th Grade and Sophia-4th Grade, are attending their 2nd full year here at Donahue Academy. Terri was the PTA Volunteer Coordinator last year, and is happy to be continuing in that position, on the PTA team, this year. She looks forward to working with the full PTA team, and Donahue staff, and all the parent volunteers, helping support our school and our students– to make this the best school it can be!
Jade and her family have been residents of Ave Maria since 2012. She and her husband LaWayne own Cheney Landscape and Maintenance. Her daughter will be in 1st grade this year and her son will enter kindergarten at the Donahue. Jade welcomes all parents, especially new parents since she remembers what it was like to be a new parent at the Donahue Academy.
